Maximum memory speed is tied to processor. 1600MHz memory will run at a reduced speed of 1333MHz when paired with 7.2GT/s processors and 1066MHz with 6.4GT/s processors. 1333MHz memory will run at a reduced speed of 1066MHz when paired with 6.4GT/s processors.
