PowerVault MD3000
The PowerVault MD3000 is a 3U rack-mount dual-controller external RAID array with 15 drive bays. Select dual-port controllers to enable four host port connections. This configuration is recommended for clusters, providing redundant data connections to each of two clustered hosts.

Software data-protection features
The PowerVault MD3000 offers optional snapshot and virtual-disk copy capabilities to increase your data management flexibility. Snapshots provide point in time data copies to facilitate quick recoveries, while Virtual-disk Copies are exact replicas of entire logical drives, helpful in backing up to tape or presenting production data sets for analytics.

Multi-select Hard Drives and Fillers
Choose the same capacity and spindle speed when configuring RAID performance and protection on multiple hard drives. Performance can be optimized by increasing the number of drives (or spindles) in a virtual RAID set and by choosing a high spindle speed (15,000 RPM).

Server connectivity
