The PowerConnect 3500 series offers flexible configurability to meet your environment's specific needs. The last two front-end GbE ports are copper and can be used for resilient stacking. Copper 1GbE connections can also span 100M. 1GbE optics are capable of running up to 550M when using 50micron multimode fiber, and 10km (long range) over single-mode fiber-optic cable. Each of the two fiber ports requires a separate SFP.
